360 invited in new BC PNP draw

British Columbia is a beautiful place to live. However, it is tucked between the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. It is an excellent place for those who love the outdoors. Moreover, Notable big cities of this province are Victoria, Langley, Vernon, and Vancouver. These cities are great places to relocate. Every year thousands of immigrants apply for Provincial Nominee Program to relocate to British Columbia.

Like Ontario, the cost of living in B.C. is high. Vancouver is one of the most expensive cities in Canada to live in. However, this city is most popular with an often-praised high quality of life. Moreover, Victoria is the capital of province, and Kelowna, in the Okanagan Valley, is cheaper and very enjoyable.

B.C. Invited 360 New Immigrants

B.C. held its recent draw on November 25. However, the province has sent invitations to 360 new immigration candidates in this draw. The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) issued invitations to candidates under Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration Streams.

Moreover, the invitations are issued to the candidates under subcategories of Skilled Worker, Entry Level applicants, Semi-Skilled applicants, and International Graduates.

The successful candidates had to meet the minimum score requirements to get consideration. However, the score requirements for different candidates were as follows:

Skills Immigration

  • Skilled Worker: 93 Points
  • Entry-Level or Semi-Skilled Workers: 75 Points
  • International Graduates: 94 Points

Express Entry BC

  • Skilled Worker: 92 Points
  • International Graduate: 93 Points

B.C. holds draws on a weekly basis via two PNP categories and streams.

How to Apply

Candidates who are willing to apply for Express Entry B.C. or Skills Immigration programs will need to create their profile on B.C. PNP’s online portal. However, candidates will need to register under Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).

The IRCC will evaluate the candidates and issue them scores on the basis of several human factors. However, the factors can be work experience, education, language proficiency in English, and employment location.

In case of approval, candidates can use their provincial nomination to apply for PR with IRCC under the PNP. However, successful Express Entry candidates will get additional 600 CRS points after their nomination in B.C. draws.

Candidates having nominations from a province will surely get Invitation to Apply (ITA) in any upcoming federal Express Entry draw.

B.C. issues invitations to candidates every week under its Tech Pilot.

B.C. PNP Tech Pilot

The B.C. PNP Tech Pilot is one of the fastest ways of immigration for in-demand IT workers and international students. However, this program works under the existing provincial immigration streams of B.C.

To get consideration for immigration to B.C. under Tech Pilot, candidates will need to show a valid job offer. The job offer can be from any of the 29 eligible occupations.

However, eligible occupations that fall under Tech Pilot are:

  • Computer and Information Systems Managers
  • Civil Engineers
  • Web Designers
  • Web Developers
  • Translators
  • Audio and Video Recording Technicians and many others.

There are various other B.C. PNP streams, but they need an offer of permanent employment. However, Tech Pilot job offers should have a minimum duration of one year. Moreover, the job offers that are more than one year are also eligible for this program. Thus, the job offer should be full-time and from any eligible employer in the province.

Candidates who received invitations will need to submit their complete application within the next 30 days.
