2 New Pathways Are Being Launched By Alberta

The international students of the post-secondary school from Alberta can now immigrate to Canada through two new options. To create new high-paying job opportunities and also for diversifying the economy in the province, Alberta is encouraging international graduates by opening two new pathways in the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). From 26th October onwards the International Graduate Entrepreneur stream for immigration is going to start. This new Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) is for the new or recent graduates of post-secondary schools of Alberta. This new stream of immigration is operating on the Expression of Interest system, in which the submissions have started.

Based on the given points and the AINP the applicants who have submitted the Expression of Interest will be assessed. The applicants having high ranks will be invited to submit the business application. The students receiving the invitation or any request will only be able to access the AINP portal and participate in the further process. But, the invitations are not the guarantee that you are getting the permanent residence of Canada.

In January 2021 another stream named Foreign Student Start-up Visa will be launched by Alberta. This is the stream for the international students who have graduated from the top universities of the U.S. and are willing to start a business in Alberta. The eligibility standards of the International Graduate Entrepreneur Immigration stream

To get consider in the International graduate Entrepreneur stream, the international graduate should meet the following requirements.

The graduate must be immigrating to Canada only for starting a business or buying an existing business. However, he needs to have 34 percent of shares in the company. The business must not be in the list of ineligible businesses of Alberta.

According to the AINP website, the applicant needs to have six months of work experience. Which may be both managing or owning the business. However, a business incubator, business accelerator or any programs of entrepreneurship done by the applicant will consider for the amount of period.       

They also need to have a degree or diploma with two years of full-time education from any designated post-secondary institute of Alberta. They also should be having a Post-Graduation work permit. Which will be valid for two years at the time of submitting their EOI.

Know about Canadian Student Visa Requirements

The applicant also needs to have the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 7 in all the proficiency exams of English or French. There are also many factors that increase the chance of getting an invitation to the applicant.

The business should be benefitting Canada by any way like maybe by creating job opportunities. However, Investment and developing intellectual property within others.

The applicants having the age between 21 to 49 years will have an advantage.

The chance will increase if the applicant or their spouse/law partner is having any kind of connection with family living permanently in Alberta.

The spouses/law partners will also increase the chances of applicant if they are having 1-year of work experience in Alberta. Or having a minimum of 2 years of full-time study in post-secondary schools of Alberta. Even if they are not having any kind of experience in Alberta.
