The PEI Provincial Nominee Program is an immigration program that targets foreign immigrants who will contribute to the province positively.  The PEI PNP is divided into two significant categories: Labor Impact and Business Impact. However, both of these categories are then further divided into various subcategories known as streams. However, for applicants who apply for Express Entry, the PEI PNP enables successful applicants to get Canadian PR exceptionally quickly, often within six months or less.

PEI Invited 254 Immigration Candidates

On November 19th, Prince Edward Island held its latest immigration draw to invite 254 immigration candidates. However, the invitations to the candidates were issued under PEI PNP. 221 applicants from a total of 254 applied under Labor Impact and Express Entry. 33 candidates applied for Business Impact, and they had a minimum point threshold of 92.

Canada’s territories and provinces make use of the Provincial Nominee Program to select the immigration candidates who comply with their labor market needs. However, sometimes candidates also align with Canada’s federal Express Entry System.

PEI Express Entry Category

The Express Entry Category of PEI PNP is an advanced PNP. This category falls within the Express Entry System of the Canadian government.

Express Entry handles the applications for three economic-class immigration categories:

  • Federal Skilled Trades Program
  • Federal Skilled Worker Program
  • Canadian Experience Class

Eligible candidates receive CRS scores according to their education, age, work experience, language proficiency in French and English, and education.

Candidates who get the nomination from any province receive additional 600 points for the CRS score. Moreover, such candidates are sure to get ITA for permanent residence in a coming Express Entry draw.

In order to get consideration for a provincial nomination from PEI, candidates who are applying for Express Entry need to register an EOI profile with the PEI PNP. EOI profiles will get points according to a unique points system of the province. The government will issue invitations to the highest-scoring candidates through monthly draws.

The PEI PNP did not provide any list of invited candidates under Labor Impact and Express Entry. However, they did not provide the minimum EOI score requirements for each category.

Labor Impact Category

The Labor Impact Category is primarily for foreign nationals who are applying for immigration through a valid job offer in PEI. However, they will need to have support from their employer. It is further divided into three different streams: Critical Worker, Skilled Worker, and International Graduate.

However, candidates who are applying for this category will also need to submit their EOI profiles. These profiles are necessary to get consideration for a provincial nomination under the Labor Impact category.

Business Impact Category

According to the recent draw held on November 19th, 33 candidates received an invitation under the Business Impact Category. However, they needed at least a 92 EOI score to receive an invitation. The candidates received invitations through the Work Permit Stream. This program is especially for foreign entrepreneurs who want to own and run their business in Prince Edward Island.

If you want to apply for Express Entry Visa Canada, then PEI PNP is an excellent opportunity to immigrate to Canada.
