Nova Scotia Invites Candidates under Express Entry Visa Canada
The province held its recent draw on January 19. However, the province has invited immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian PR. Candidates received their invitations under the Labor Market Priorities Stream of the province.
However, the number of candidates has not been disclosed by the province. The Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) did not tell the number of candidates who received invitations.
This stream works under the Express Entry system. It means that candidates who received invitations need to have a valid profile in the federal Express Entry system. However, the NSNP can select eligible candidates through the Express Entry pool.
The province invited the candidates who meet provincial labor market needs. However, the candidates needed to have a primary occupation as a financial officer – National Occupation Classification (NOC) 1114 in this draw.
How to Get Invitation
In order to get an invitation, candidates should have a Letter of Interest from the NSNP through Express Entry. However, invited candidates also need to meet the minimum work experience in the field of work they are qualified for.
The candidates should have enough money to establish themselves in Nova Scotia and pay the necessary fees. However, candidates need to provide reference letters from their employers in order to apply for provincial nomination.
Moreover, candidates need to show at least four years of work experience in a financial office. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or completed a program of at least three years at any educational institution.
Candidates also need to score 9 or higher in English for Canadian Language Benchmark. However, this requirement is significantly higher than the last draw. The CLB score requirement was 5 in the last draw.
Moreover, candidates who received the letter of invitation in today’s draw will have time until February 18, 2021, to submit their application. Moreover, candidates also need to include a copy of their language tests, proof of employment, and education proof.
Candidates who received an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination through the Labor Market Priorities Stream. However, candidates who received a nomination in today’s draw should have a valid Express Entry profile.

Moreover, candidates in the Express Entry system will be assessed based on multiple factors like education, age, work experience, and language ability. The candidates get a CRS score for these factors.
IRCC sends invitations to the highest-ranking candidates in the system. However, the department sends invitations to candidates through regular Express Entry draws.
Moreover, candidates who received provincial nominations get an additional 600 CRS points. These points ensure that a candidate will get an Invitation to Apply in an upcoming Express Entry draw.
